Levi used to be selfless to a fault. It seemed like his whole life he'd been watching out for the little guy no matter how far he had to take it.
Well, someone had to, right? If he didn't, who would? Everyone else was only concerned with themselves, stepping on those who couldn't
fend for themselves; he was kind of a big deal at school and he was the one that you went to when you needed protection. Chances were,
if he felt that someone needed him, Levi would go to the ends of the Earth and back for them, and all they had to do was snap their fingers
and point. Instant bodyguard. He had tons of friends and took care of them all like he was their older brother. He had an alluring charm and
a was charismatic enough to captivate even when he was very small. All around, he was considered a Humanitarian, a genuinely good kid. He
respected others and gained their respect in return, helped out others as much as he could, and often volunteered around his community;
there wasn't one person who wouldn't respond with Levi's name when you asked what a good samaritan looked like.
In recent times, due to personal problems that led to his downward spiral into oblivion, Levi has been more uptight around people, quieter,
and more tense. When he started doing drugs and getting into fistfights to prove he had his buddies' backs, he started to become more and
more distant, dominating aggressively when he did manage to pull himself out of his newfound shell. This Levi was someone that no one
wanted anything to do with, and that left him alone in turn, something that he became increasingly grateful for. There was no one to judge
the new choices he was making, the tattoos decorating his skin, the holes filled with shiny metal embedded in his skin. He felt freer with no
responsibility and no one to hold him back. He did what and whomever he wanted with no regards for those around him, most of all his family,
which had been broken by an especially messy divorce that ended with Levi's two youngest brothers, Blaise and Aaron, moving out with his mother
to live with the boyfriend she'd been seeing in secret for the last fifteen years—a man who was apparently also the father of at least Blaise and Aaron.
Though,because she'd been sleeping with him since before Levi was born, there was a chance that he and his other brother Zen were also that man's
sons. Either way, his form of escape from the whole situation was what he felt was best for him; he didn't have to worry about the fighting or the
crying, and he didn't have to be involved in the only problem that he never had a snowball's chance of fixing.
Well, until his change of behaviour ended up getting him locked away for several accounts of DUI, public intoxication, assault, armed assault,
uttering death threats, illegal substance abuse and possession, soliciting illegal substances, and exploitation of a minor. Since ending up incarcerated,
Levi has become a little more sociable, especially to those who are in the same boat as he is.
At Sunrise Ranch, Levi is an unwilling participant. He's never seen a horse up close except for the miniatures in petting zoos that one time when he
was fourteen, and even then he was kind of scared of them; didn't want to get bit and all that typical nonsense. He's not sure what he could or would
be able to do with a full-sized horse, but hey. Whatever the Hell gets him out of jail sooner, right? He could just pretend that he was magically cured
of his ailments and walk away a free man. Horse riding wasn't hard, anyway, right? The horse pretty much does all the work and you just sit there.
He didn't know that his basic understanding was flawed and that once you open yourself to the horse, they are the only true way to heal a truly twisted soul.

{ history }
Farrah was found on the roadside at an estimated eight months of age; her mother wasn't with her,
nor was she anywhere to be found, so it was reasonably safe to assume that she was an orphan—after
all, mothers don't just leave their foals; either the mare had died or they'd been separated somehow and
irrevocably so. The people who found the filly were unsure of what to do with her and called animal control
who contacted Sunrise Ranch in turn to see if they would take her in; of course she was adopted into the
loving home without a second thought.
She started out flighty and impossible to catch in her first few months—being a wild baby with no knowledge
of humankind made it difficult for her to accept these two-leggeds no matter how many apples and carrots and
buckets of sweet feed she was given. Slowly she grew to trust, and became quite a lovely filly to work with... when
she felt like it anyway. She still tends to play tag with whoever's trying to catch her, and occasionally will kick
out or nip unexpectedly, continuing to play the baby card as much as she can get away with.
